The Awakening of a Desperate Housewife

The Awakening of a Desperate Housewife Plot

Martha spent thirty years keeping her family alive—cooking, cleaning, raising her son Jason and grandson Jackson, even funding everyone with her bakery while husband Richard pursued his cello career. When she finally asks about the European trip he promised thirty years ago, they call her childish and tell her to stay home. That night she finds five first-class tickets to Paris, Richard, Jason's family, and her glamorous sister Valerie. Martha packs their bags, then lists the house, blacks them out, and books a one-way flight to Costa Rica. When they return to strangers in their old home, she serves divorce papers and refuses to be their unpaid maid again.
