The Real Heiress Took My Fiancé—So I Had His Baby

The Real Heiress Took My Fiancé—So I Had His Baby Plot

Five years ago, Sloane, the adopted daughter of the Whitaker family, left after their biological daughter, Camilla, returned. Before disappearing completely, she spent one night with Reed, the man she had been matched with for an arranged marriage and someone she had clashed with since childhood.
Five years later, Sloane is raising her four-year-old son, Milo, on her own when she unexpectedly runs into Reed outside Milo’s kindergarten. Father and son clash from the moment they meet, and the secret Sloane has hidden for years is finally exposed.
At the wedding, Camilla frames Milo for theft. Instead of siding with her, Reed publicly acknowledges Milo as his son and denies that he was ever engaged to Camilla. After the wedding falls apart, Camilla continues trying to drive Sloane away through a fake pregnancy, self-harm, and other schemes. The Whitakers once again pressure Sloane to step aside for their biological daughter. But Sloane, who has spent her whole life being told to be “understanding,” finally refuses.
“No. I won’t.”
Afterward, Sloane rejects the Calloway family’s attempt to buy Milo’s custody with money and returns to art school. There, she discovers that Camilla has been exhibiting one of Sloane’s works from five years earlier under her own name. Sloane tracks down her original sketches and records of the creative process, reclaiming not only her artwork, but also her name and career.
In the end, Milo accepts Reed as his father, and Reed proposes to Sloane. Sloane finally breaks free from the labels of “fake heiress” and “replacement.” She builds a career that belongs to her—and a family where she is truly chosen.
